Home Remodeling Services in Bradenton, FL
Most remodelers stop at the surface. Acosta Builders holds Florida Certified General Contractor license CGC1540129 and opens walls — we pull bearing walls, set new beams, and re-frame rooms other contractors decline to touch. That structural capability is what separates a real remodel from a refinish.
Kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, and outdoor living — we run remodels from demolition through final walkthrough, with the framing expertise to change how a house is laid out, not only how it looks.
What's included
-
Structural remodels & load-bearing changes
Bearing walls removed, beams and headers set, openings framed to engineered spec.
-
Kitchen & bathroom renovations
Layout changes, rough-in coordination, cabinetry, and finish work under one crew.
-
Whole-home renovations
Room by room or all at once, sequenced so you can plan around the disruption.
-
Additions & space reconfiguration
New square footage tied into existing framing, rooflines, and floor heights.
-
Permits, engineering & inspections
Structural changes documented, permitted, and signed off — never done quietly.
-
Finish carpentry & final walkthrough
Trim, doors, flooring, and cabinetry finished to the standard we built the shop on.
Kitchen Remodeling Services in Bradenton, FL
The kitchen is the hardest room in the house to remodel well. It carries plumbing, electrical, ventilation — and usually one wall you wish were not there. We handle kitchen remodeling end to end, including the structural work that makes an open layout possible.
Whether you want a complete kitchen remodel or a targeted reconfiguration, we manage layout, framing, rough-in coordination, cabinetry, and finish work — so a single crew owns the result.
What's included
-
Custom kitchen layout & functional design
Work triangle, clearances, and storage planned around how you actually cook.
-
Wall removal & structural openings
Bearing walls opened with engineered beams and headers, permitted and inspected.
-
Plumbing, electrical & mechanical rough-in
Relocated supply, drains, circuits, and venting settled before cabinets arrive.
-
Cabinetry, countertops & built-ins
Cabinets scribed level, counters templated, built-ins fitted to the room as it is.
-
Appliance & fixture integration
Appliance openings, sinks, hoods, and fixtures set to spec and tested.
-
Flooring, trim & final finishes
Flooring, base, and casing installed, then the punch list closed before handoff.
Bathroom Renovation Services
Bathrooms fail from the inside out. Waterproofing, slope, and ventilation decide whether a bathroom renovation lasts fifteen years or starts leaking in three. We build the substrate correctly first, then finish the room to look the part.
Updating a dated bathroom or converting to a curbless shower, we cover demolition through final inspection — including the framing and waterproofing nobody ever sees.
What's included
-
Complete bathroom design & layout
Fixture placement, clearances, and accessibility planned to current code.
-
Demolition & substrate preparation
Careful tear-out, then inspection of framing and subfloor before anything new lands.
-
Waterproofing, tile & shower systems
Pan slope, membrane, and tile assemblies built to prevent the leak, not chase it.
-
Vanities, fixtures & plumbing
Vanities, valves, and fixtures installed, connected, and tested for operation.
-
Lighting, ventilation & electrical
Exhaust sized to the room, GFCI protection, and lighting that works at the mirror.
-
Final walkthrough & quality control
Detailed inspection and walkthrough before the room goes back into service.
Full-Home Remodeling & Additions
A whole-home remodel is a sequencing problem as much as a construction one. We plan full-home renovations and additions so trades do not collide, the house stays weather-tight, and you know which rooms are usable each week.
Expanding your footprint or reworking what you already have, we run the project from structural planning to final finishes — including additions tied into existing framing, rooflines, and floor heights.
What's included
-
Whole-home layout redesign & space planning
Reconfigured circulation that fixes how the whole house lives, not one room.
-
Home additions & structural expansions
New square footage framed and married into the existing structure and roof.
-
Kitchen, bathroom & living space renovation
Full renovation of the rooms carrying the most plumbing, wiring, and traffic.
-
Electrical, plumbing & mechanical coordination
Systems extended or upgraded to carry the added load safely and to code.
-
Permits, inspections & code compliance
Permits pulled, inspections scheduled, and every approval documented.
-
Final finishes, walkthrough & delivery
Finish carpentry, punch list, and a documented handoff you can keep.
Patios, Outdoor Kitchens & Living Spaces
Outdoor build-outs on the Gulf Coast have to survive sun, salt, and rain that arrives sideways. We build patios, outdoor kitchens, and covered living spaces with the structural and material choices that actually hold up in this climate.
Adding a covered patio, an outdoor kitchen, or a full backyard build-out, we handle structure, weather protection, and finish so the space gets used year-round instead of three months a year.
What's included
-
Outdoor space planning & layout design
Cooking, seating, and circulation zones planned against sun angle and prevailing wind.
-
Patio construction & structural features
Covered structures, pergolas, and framing engineered for uplift and moisture.
-
Outdoor kitchen & entertainment areas
Weather-rated cabinetry, counters, grills, sinks, and storage built for exterior use.
-
Utility coordination
Electrical, gas, lighting, and water run to code for outdoor conditions.
-
Exterior finishes & material installation
Decking, screening, ceilings, and finishes selected for salt-air exposure.
-
Final walkthrough & project completion
Detailed inspection and walkthrough before the space is handed over.
Flooring, Trim & Interior Finishes
This is the trade the company was built on. Flooring, trim, doors, and interior millwork are where tolerances show — and where the gap between builder-grade and custom gets measured in sixteenths of an inch.
Refinishing one room or finishing an entire home, we install interior finishes with the prep and precision that keeps floors flat and miters tight years after the crew leaves.
What's included
-
Flooring selection & layout planning
Material, run direction, and transitions planned before the first plank goes down.
-
Professional flooring installation
Subfloor flattening, moisture control, and installation to manufacturer spec.
-
Trim, baseboard & molding installation
Base, casing, crown, and returns cut tight and fastened to stay that way.
-
Interior door installation & hardware
Doors hung plumb, reveals consistent, hardware set to operate smoothly.
-
Custom millwork & built-ins
Shelving, wainscot, and built-ins made to fit the room as it actually exists.
-
Surface preparation & finishing
Caulk, fill, and prep so paint lands clean and the finish reads seamless.
Structural Repair Services
Sagging floors, cracked walls, and doors that stop latching are symptoms, not the problem. We diagnose and repair structural damage — rot, settlement, storm impact, failed framing — with engineered fixes instead of cosmetic patches over the evidence.
From foundation movement to termite and moisture damage, we scope the repair with an engineer where required and rebuild to current Florida code.
What's included
-
Structural assessment & repair planning
Evaluation of load paths to find the cause, not just the symptom you can see.
-
Foundation & load-bearing repairs
Reinforcement of compromised footings, beams, joists, and bearing walls.
-
Floor, wall & roof structural repair
Correction of sagging floors, racked walls, and failed roof framing.
-
Rot, termite & moisture damage repair
Damaged framing removed and rebuilt with treated or properly protected material.
-
Storm & impact damage rebuilds
Post-storm structural repair, documented for your insurance adjuster.
-
Permits, inspections & code compliance
Structural work permitted, inspected, and brought up to current code.

Client stories
What our clients say
Acosta Builders framed my new home on Longboat Key Florida. They did a great job framing the new home. They are on the job everyday working hard. The site was kept clean always. They always came back to do any required punch list. I've built over 1000 custom homes and I highly recommend them.
I recently hired Acosta Builders for additions to my new home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend Acosta to anyone looking for reliable and skilled carpenters. Their commitment to organization, quality, and customer satisfaction sets them apart. I would definitely hire them again for future projects.
Excellent experience with Acosta Builders I hired them for a home project this year, and from the very start, they were impressive. The staff responded quickly, gave me multiple great ideas, and helped clarify any questions I had.
Great framing crew. I've worked with Acosta Builders on several jobs in the Bradenton area and they're reliable, do quality work, and are easy to work with. Will definitely keep using them!
I can recommend them; they do a great job—truly excellent and very professional.
Good questions
Remodeling questions, answered
What Gulf Coast homeowners ask us before starting remodeling work — permits, timelines, and what happens when we open things up.
01Can we stay in the house during the remodel?
For a single kitchen, bathroom, or room, usually yes. We isolate the work area, keep dust contained, and sequence so you keep a working path through the house. Whole-home remodels are the exception, and we tell you that at estimate rather than mid-project.
02What happens if you find something bad behind the wall?
Rot, termite damage, failed framing, and unpermitted past work turn up regularly in older Florida homes. We stop, show you what is there, and price the repair before continuing — it never gets covered back up and rolled silently into the invoice.
03Can you remove a wall to open up the floor plan?
If it carries load, it comes out with an engineered beam sized for what sits above it, on posts with proper bearing down to the footing. If it does not carry load, it is straightforward. Which one you have is an engineering answer, and we get it before demolition.
04Do I need a permit to remodel a kitchen or bathroom?
Almost always, once plumbing, electrical, or structure is involved. Cosmetic-only work sometimes does not. We confirm with your jurisdiction and pull what is required — unpermitted work is the thing that stalls a sale years later.
05How long does a kitchen or bathroom remodel take?
Demolition is fast; the schedule is set by cabinetry and tile lead times and by the inspection points in between. We order long-lead items before demolition starts, so the house is not sitting open waiting on a delivery.
